Dependency Injection: The Cavalry Has Arrived

by Nate on August 18, 2007

If you’ve been following the conversation between Jacob Proffitt and myself about dependency injection, Ayende Rahien has added his thoughts to the topic as well in two posts on his own blog:

Dependency Injection: More than a testing seam
Dependency Injection: IAmDonQuixote?

This started from Jacob’s first post on his blog, which I commented on, and it spun off into an article on my own blog (and continued in the comments). It’s turned into a very interesting conversation on the merits of dependency injection versus alternatives such as the provider model used in ADO.NET.

Update: Aaron from Eleutian has also joined the conversation.
Update 2: Eli Lopian (of TypeMock fame) has also presented his stance.
